The Vertiflex™ Superion™ procedure is a minimally invasive treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis, a condition where narrowing in the spine puts pressure on the nerves. A small spacer device is implanted between the vertebrae to relieve pressure and improve walking and standing tolerance. It is performed through a tiny incision and requires minimal recovery time.
Walk taller, longer, and stronger—without major surgery.
You may need to fast for 6 hours prior to the procedure. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Arrange transportation, and inform your provider of any current medications, medical conditions, or implanted devices. Certain medications, especially blood thinners, may need to be adjusted beforehand.
Most patients return home the same day. Some soreness at the incision site is expected but typically resolves in a few days. Light walking is encouraged as part of recovery, but avoid bending, twisting, or heavy lifting for a few weeks. You will have follow-up visits to monitor progress.
